The past few weeks it seemed my camera and I were glued together. I’ve been shooting non-stop. During each shoot I took backstage pictures with my cellphone, so I could upload everything in an instant to my facebook page and of course: show it to you all here in a phone diary post. Let’s look back..
Every month the free newspaper Metro has an attachment issue which is all about fashion: Metro Mode. There is also a streetstyle section and guess who’s featured. Yep! Moi. I was shot by the super talented photographer Sharon Jane D at Rotterdam Central Station, with Turkish taxidrivers as an audience, telling me I have to smile. Don’t they know that’s not ‘fashionable’? Hahaha just kidding :D

It was fun to do! Thanks Sharon Jane!
A few weeks ago I posted about this portrait shoot in editorial style. I must say, I’m really happy with the result! Indi is the daughter of fashion stylist Bonnie Orleans Voss, where she clearly has her styling talent from. I wanted to point out Indi’s alternate ways of dressing and who could better show that than Indi herself? So with her friend Savannah who did the hair, and me who shot the images, we created a cool sphere in and around Indi’s house in Amsterdam. The shoot went fluently!

Friday I went to Amsterdam to shoot T, S & A who were given a photoshoot by their friend. It was a sunny day so we decided not to just stay in. Here’s a small selection of the pictures I took.

A little bit of Barbie, a little bit of Monroe, lots of bright and vivid colours and two young women with a love for individuality and expression through vintage apparel. Back in New York I had the pleasure of photographing Dominique and Fabby, the owners of Black Box Vintage Collective. For their intro-editorial they wanted to represent the target group of their vintage shop: real, sophisticated, modern woman of today. Who else to use as models than themselves? At the Gershwin Hotel in New York we flashed time away in the hallways and the hotel room. What an amazing location this is! So much inspiration that evokes creativity, I loved it! An ode to Andy Warhol!
